Stock Locations in One Page Inventory are essential for managing and optimizing your inventory. Proper setup ensures accurate inventory tracking, which is crucial for calculating order needs and maintaining efficient operations.
Determining Your Warehouse Type #
Indicate whether your inventory is primarily managed through:
- Warehouse- A warehouse that you can manually adjust warehouse quantities, create transfers, and schedule automatic inventory deduction from inbound shipments to amazon. Starting quantities can be easily set via csv import.
- Manufacturer- A manufacturer warehouse utilized as the stocking location
- 3PL– A warehouse that represents stock stored by a 3PL.
- Other– Custom Integrations
Warehouse(s) #
Select the warehouse option if your products are stored in a warehouse. If this option is selected, you will be prompted to fill in Warehouse Name, Address and the type of warehouse;
- Self Managed – a warehouse where you can manually adjust quantities, create transfers and schedule automatic inventory deductions.
- FBM warehouse– synched from seller central. If FBM is selected, you will be prompted to select a Source Marketplace, giving users the flexibility to manage and choose which specific Amazon marketplace will serve as the source of the inventory data. This allows for precise control over stock levels across different marketplaces, optimizing your supply chain management and ensuring that your product availability aligns with your sales strategy.
Manufacturer #
This step involves designating a manufacturer warehouse as the stocking location. If you choose to utilize manufacturers to hold inventory, you will be prompted to enter detailed information such as the manufacturer name and address.
This ensures that the system accurately records the location of your stock, facilitating effective inventory tracking and management.
This information is crucial for maintaining up-to-date records of where your products are stored, which can aid in streamlining logistics and improving supply chain coordination.
3PL #
This step involves defining the stock locations that represent your third-party logistics (3PL) provider’s storage facilities. During this setup, OPI will ensure that the integration is configured to accurately reflect the inventory levels as reported by your 3PL provider.
This synchronization ensures that inventory data is current and reliable, allowing for effective management of stock across various sales channels. By accurately mapping your 3PL storage locations, you can optimize inventory distribution, prevent stock outs or overstocking, and enhance overall supply chain efficiency.
By following these guidelines and properly setting up your stock locations, you can ensure efficient and accurate inventory management within OPI.
