Stockout Strategy

The OPI system default settings are to “skip stockout days” by default, and most users tend to “skip stockout days” in their settings. H

Navigate to the Dashboard and Stockout Strategy Section:

  • Go to the “Page One” dashboard in OPI.
  • Hover over the “FBA sales velocity” column to access the Stockout Strategy section.

Select Your Stockout Strategy:

  • In the “Stockout Strategy” section, choose between:
    • No stockout strategy: select “None”
    • To factor in both FBA and FBM sales for sales velocity calculation: select “Use FBM”

Apply Your Chosen Strategy:

  • After selecting your strategy, click the orange “apply this formula” button.
  • Choose whether to apply the formula to:
    • “This product”
    • “Change all products in the marketplace.”
  • Confirm your choice to apply the selected strategy.

Monitor and Review Settings:

  • Regularly monitor your settings, especially during crucial events like Prime Day or holidays, to ensure your sales velocity accurately reflects the current sales landscape.

Manually Edit Historical Stock Outs:

  • Navigate to the “Sales” work mode.
  • Click the “plus button” next to the product you want to adjust.
  • Click and drag on the graph to indicate the dates of the stock-out.
  • Click the orange “add” button to manually adjust the stock-out interval period.
